Image Playback
Q: There are these weird flashing areas on my image in playback mode. What's happening?
A: Those flashing areas represent blown highlights. To make the flashing stop, press the D-Pad up or down.
Note: A "blown highlight" means that areas of your image are too bright, and that the detail inside those areas is lost.
You may want to adjust your exposure compensation, ISO, or other settings and re-shoot in order to preserve detail in those areas.
If you're shooting RAW, remember that the preview on your camera's LCD is based on the JPEG data, not the RAW data, so you may be able to recover that information in post-processing.
